I started my business as a jewelry designer selling wholesale and retail. First I had a small studio space where I made jewelry and could see clients, and after about a year I decided to open our current space in Old Greenwich and brought in more pr.
How Did You Get Started?:
Abigail Fox Designs was started in 2008 in Old Greenwich CT. We opened our second store in 2015 in Nantucket, MA. Abigail Fox is a curated collection of apparel and gifts.
Tell Us About A Recent Accomplishment In Your Business:
We recently launched our own line of cashmere sweaters and clothing. Both launches were received incredibly well and we are excited to be introducing a Fall collection followed by resort!
What Are Your Favorite Products Or Services That You Currently Sell?:
Our cashmere sweaters and clothing line. It has been a great experience working with new manufacturers. All our fabrics are handmade in Jaipur India by skilled craftsmen in the ancient technique of block printing.
What Advice Do You Have For Someone In The Beginning Stages Of Owning A Business?:
Get a good accountant from the beginning and if you are not great with finances hire a bookkeeper. Then you can focus on the aspects of your business that you enjoy. Learn how to delegate responsibilities and how to respectfully say no. And, make sure to schedule time you are not working!
